Hi! I'm Melissa. I write and photograph The Traveler's Lunchbox from my home, wherever in the world that may be. Right now it's Germany. Last year it was Seattle. And the year before that (and the few before that) it was Edinburgh, Scotland. At various points in my pre-blogging past it was also Bilbao, Spain and Dublin, Ireland, the former of which greatly influenced my approach to food (the latter, though, not so much...). I am by training a sociolinguist (even have a fancy laminated doctoral certificate to prove it), but by choice a food and travel writer and sporadic photographer. It's not a great living, but it's a great life, and one I share with my husband and best friend, Manuel. You can read about how we met here, if you're interested.
Oh, and I should probably mention that I'm American, since even though I've spent more than a third of my life abroad, where food is concerned it's hard to escape your roots.
